Just a small introduction to the songs playing on our home page. We recorded two songs for the BBC Wild Caribbean wildlife documentary, available on BBC records on the EMI label (cat. no. 0946 3 87382 2 0), Monkey Movin features Errol on vocals, & So Hot features Errol on rhythm guitar, Jason on Bass & Stevo on drums. We've also included the original recording of Kifaru playing So Hot before David Lowe added further instruments to make it sound as it does now. By the way, the version of So hot that can be heard is Stevo's remix, which will hopefully feature on the single when it is released, otherwise it's exclusive to this site. Welcome to the Kifaru website, home of Coventry's Premier reggae band. Okay the title is a bit misleading as we are also, as far as we know, Coventry's only reggae band. We are a Five piece band, who came together in this line up in October 2004. We play roots, rockers reggae and all material is 100% our own We have recently recorded two albums worth of songs, which we hope to release some as singles, check availibility at our upcoming gigs or leave a message at kifaru.uk@gmail.com & Stevo will get in touch with you. Check for Gig details as soon as we get them; Our next gig is; Relay for Life, Saturday May 23rd 2009 about 1:50pm in the afternoon at Leicester Tigers Rugby Ground, Welford Road Leicester. Thanks, Stevo Unfortunately, due to Multiplys' Terms & Conditions, wherein they claim rights to any songs posted on their sites we are only prepared to let the two songs, Reasons & Freedom fight (video) be available to listen to. Our apologies but until they remove that clause, no more Kifaru songs will be made available, you'll just have to come to our gigs instead!

 | I'm considering a few different venues but it would most probably be outside (in a large beer garden or something like that) and the date would be around July 19th. Would you be able to do a few covers as well as your own stuff? How long would you play for and how much do you charge? Thanks for getting back to me! |
